Lawful, humane, healthy & delicious

“Halal” is an Islamic word that means “lawful” or “permissible.” It refers to specific meats that are allowed to be consumed and how the meat is slaughtered and prepared. The goal in halal style butchery is to limit the amount of pain the animal will endure. Halal preparation of meat requires that the animal be treated well during its life and during the slaughtering process.

  • No live animals ever see another animal slaughtered.
  • Animals should be individually slaughtered, healthy and uninjured at the time of slaughter.
  • After the animal is killed, the blood is quickly drained because blood can contain harmful toxins and bacteria that spread disease.
  • Halal and Kosher meats are considered healthier because of this unique practice.
  • All of our meat is both halal-certified and kosher safe
  • We use only halal meats to create flavorful, international food choices for both Muslim and non-Muslims students.
